I will paint forever.
However.
I was inspired by and involved in the early graffiti movement in the UK. I started painting in 1986 but for the last 13 years I have been experimenting and developing techniques that have allowed me to really push the limits of the spray can.
I use mark making and overlaying techniques to create my paintings. Spray nozzles replace brushes and knives, and the process is slow and dangerous. Careful preparation and a controlled environment allow me to paint in the Lab for up to 13 hours a day.
My work talks about everyday life. My personal experiences often find their way into a painting in some form or another. At the moment I’m exploring the human form and emotion. I’m an obsessive person. I paint every single day.
Being a self taught artist, I think it’s my obsession with line and colour that has driven me this far. It has given me the motivation to explore the boundaries of the spray can in a different way.
My website contains images of my work to date, a collection I’m calling ‘Introduction to Canvas.’
